Rippling publishes no price. Its pricing page, checked 28 September 2026, says: “Tell us what services you need, and we’ll send you a custom quote.”1 Most Rippling products are billed per employee per month, and some carry a monthly fee on top.1 Among alternatives that do list prices, the lowest for 10 US employees is Gusto’s Simple plan at US$109 a month: a $49 base plus $6 per person.2 A Rippling figure exists only once you’ve asked for one.

TL;DR

  • Rippling’s pricing page is a quote form with no plan, rate or fee on it.1
  • Rippling bills most products per employee per month. Some carry a monthly fee, and every product sits on the required Rippling Platform.1
  • For 10 US employees, the published entry plans rank Gusto Simple ($109), Justworks Payroll ($130), BambooHR ($250), Justworks PEO Basic ($790) and Deel US PEO ($1,250) a month. They buy different things.2,3,4,5
  • The $8 figure still quoted for Rippling is a rate its pricing page dropped in 2024.6

How this ranking was built

Our research methodology treats a pricing page as a company’s statement of its own price, and this ranking uses nothing else. Glamdring Research captured the pricing pages of Rippling and eight US HR, payroll and PEO companies on 28 September 2026.

  • Source: each company’s own public pricing page, captured 28 September 2026.
  • Field: the listed entry-plan monthly price for 10 US employees, calculated as the base fee plus 10 times the per-person fee.
  • Unit: US dollars per month, as listed, before tax.
  • Row count: nine pages captured. Four companies listed a price: Gusto, Justworks, BambooHR and Deel. Justworks lists a payroll plan and a PEO plan, so five rows are ranked. Five companies showed no price: Rippling, ADP (RUN), Paylocity, TriNet and HiBob.
  • Not applied: discounts, promotions and add-ons. BambooHR’s figure is its flat rate for 25 employees or fewer, which covers 10.

A listed price is what a company says it charges. It isn’t what a buyer pays after negotiation, tax or add-ons.

What do 10 US employees cost on each published price list?

Gusto’s Simple plan is the lowest at $109 a month, checked 28 September 2026.2 Deel’s US PEO is the highest at $1,250.5

Each row comes from that company’s own pricing page, checked 28 September 2026.2,3,4,5,1

The product type column matters more than the rank. Gusto’s Simple plan covers single-state payroll, unlimited payrolls and tax filings and payments.2 Justworks’s Payroll plan covers payroll, HR tools, expert support and access to time tracking.3 BambooHR’s $250 is for its HR software. BambooHR Payroll is a separate purchase under the offer terms on the same page.4 Justworks PEO Basic adds compliance, HR consulting, 24/7 support and a 401(k).3 Deel’s US PEO covers co-employment across all 50 US states with benefits included.5

Rippling sells more than one of these types. Its pricing page lists Payroll, HRIS and PEO among its products.1 So a Rippling quote belongs beside the row for the same product type, not beside the cheapest row.

What does Rippling’s pricing page publish?

A quote form, five FAQs and no numbers. Checked 28 September 2026, the page headline reads “The platform for companies that want to grow faster”, followed by “Tell us what services you need, and we’ll send you a custom quote.”1

The form asks for a work email address, full name, company name, the number of employees plus contractors, headquarters country and phone number.1 Headcount is picked from bands, and the smallest runs from 1 to 10.1 A 10-person company sits in the bottom band.

Two FAQs deal with price. One sets out the billing unit, covered in the next section. The other asks how Rippling’s pricing compares with similar services and answers “Trick question” and says “there’s no service like Rippling!” It goes on to say “each Rippling bundle is competitive with more narrowly-focused competitors’ pricing.”1 The page names no bundle and prints no price, so a reader can’t test that claim from the page itself.

A third FAQ says Rippling offers partner pricing to brokers and accountants who use it for their clients.1 No partner rate is shown either.

How does Rippling bill: per employee or base fee?

Both, depending on the product. The FAQ says: “While most Rippling products are billed on a simple per-employee, per-month basis, some may be charged at (or include) a monthly basis fee.”1 The page prints “basis fee”. In context it describes a fixed monthly charge, but the page doesn’t name which products carry one or what it costs.

The platform is the second layer. Each HR, Finance and IT product, such as Payroll, Expenses, Benefits or Device Management, can be bought separately “alongside the core, required Rippling Platform”.1 A Rippling bill therefore has at least two parts: the required platform and each product added to it. UsagePricing, which tracks software pricing pages, describes that platform as a mandatory base in either a Core or a Pro tier.6 Rippling’s pricing page doesn’t name the tiers.

The shape isn’t unusual. Gusto’s and Justworks’s payroll plans also combine a monthly base with a per-person fee.2,3 What differs is disclosure: Gusto and Justworks print both numbers, and Rippling prints neither.

Contractors are the open question. Rippling’s form counts employees and contractors together.1 Gusto, by contrast, bills US contractors at the plan’s per-person cost only in months when they’re paid.2 Rippling’s page doesn’t say how it bills contractors. Ask for that line in the quote.

What do the alternatives charge above the entry plan?

Upper plans change the order. Gusto’s Premium plan costs $400 a month for 10 employees, about 3.7 times its Simple plan, and Justworks PEO Plus costs $1,240, close to Deel’s US PEO.2,3,5

Above 25 employees, BambooHR switches to per-employee pricing: $10 for Core, $17 for Pro and $25 for Elite per employee per month.4

Three of the pages also carry time-limited offers, excluded from both tables. Deel advertises 3 months free of PEO for new PEO order forms executed between 15 July and 31 December 2026.5 BambooHR offers eligible customers Payroll subscription fees at $0 through 31 December 2026 if they commit to a minimum 12-month agreement.4 Gusto’s contractor-only plan has a $0 base for the first 6 months, then $35 a month plus $6 per contractor.2

Term length is published too. Gusto says it is month-to-month.2 BambooHR offers month-to-month terms or an extended term.4

Why do other published Rippling prices disagree?

Because they’re dated, estimated or unsourced, and none of them appears on Rippling’s pricing page as checked on 28 September 2026.1

  • $8 per employee. UsagePricing records Rippling’s pricing page carrying “Rippling starts at $8 a month, per user” until 2024.6 It also says the rate is still quoted on Rippling’s competitor-comparison pages.6 We didn’t check those pages. PTO Planner’s review, updated June 2026, still gives ”~$8/employee/month for the core platform”, marked “quote required”.7
  • $15 to $25 per employee. PTO Planner estimates this range for HR, payroll and benefits.7 For 10 employees, that’s $150 to $250 a month. PTO Planner says its figures are estimates to be confirmed with Rippling, and discloses affiliate links to Rippling.7
  • $35 a month. ITQlick’s Reviewsnap comparison, updated 20 June 2026, says “Rippling starts at $35 per month”.8 The page doesn’t give a source for the figure.
  • No figure. Research.com says Rippling’s pricing is “provided exclusively on a custom quote basis with no publicly available prices or predefined pricing plans”.9 That matches the page as checked.

The current evidence supports one reading. $8 is a retired list rate, the $15 to $25 range is a third-party estimate, and $35 has no stated origin. None is a Rippling quote.

What changed on Rippling’s pricing page?

The rate left the page in 2024, and the page became a lead form in 2026. UsagePricing says Rippling printed a per-user entry rate from 2019: $7 through a December 2019 snapshot and $8 from a July 2020 snapshot.6 Between the 14 August and 18 September 2024 archived states, that rate was replaced in the headline by “Flexible & competitive pricing that fits your business needs”. The $8 stayed in the page title and meta description.6

UsagePricing logs two later changes. On 16 April 2026, “Rippling collapsed its pricing page into the lead form”.6 In July 2026, Rippling’s Customer Terms of Service were updated with the minimum-User commitment restated.6 We didn’t read those terms, so no minimum is stated here.

This is Glamdring’s first check of Rippling’s pricing page, so there’s no earlier release of ours to compare against.

What the ranking cannot tell you

It can’t price Rippling. Until Rippling lists a figure, it has no row to rank, and a quote given to one company isn’t a list price.

It compares listed prices, not total cost. Add-ons sit outside the entry plans. Gusto lists workers’ compensation starting at $14 a month and priority support at $30 a month plus $3 per person.2 Justworks lists time tracking at $8 a month per employee.3 Benefits premiums and tax are also excluded.

It covers nine companies we selected, not the whole market.

Two of the no-price rows are weak evidence. TriNet’s pricing address returned a page reading “Incredible starts here” and “but not on this page.”10 HiBob’s captured pricing address showed a demo request form.11 Neither capture shows how those companies price. ADP’s RUN pricing page offers a “Get Pricing” link, and Paylocity’s reads “Request Pricing with a Free Demo”.12,13

The test is a written Rippling quote for your exact products and headcount, contractors included. It should break out the platform fee, each per-employee rate, any monthly fee and the minimum term. Then compare it with the row above for the product type you’d buy instead.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Rippling cost a month?

Rippling doesn’t publish a monthly price. Its pricing page, checked 28 September 2026, offers a custom quote and says most products are billed per employee per month, with some carrying a monthly fee.1 The cost depends on which products you add to the required Rippling Platform and on your headcount. For reference, published entry prices for 10 US employees ran from $109 a month for Gusto Simple to $1,250 for Deel’s US PEO on the same date.2,5

Who competes with Rippling?

Rippling’s own pricing FAQ says “there’s no service like Rippling”.1 On price, the companies in this ranking cover the product types Rippling sells: payroll software from Gusto and Justworks, HR software from BambooHR, and PEO services from Justworks and Deel.2,3,4,5 ADP (RUN), Paylocity, TriNet and HiBob were checked on the same date but showed no price on the pages captured.

Can you buy Rippling products separately?

Yes, but only with the platform. Rippling says each HR, Finance and IT product can be bought separately “alongside the core, required Rippling Platform”.1 The pricing page doesn’t state the platform’s price or which products add a monthly fee.

Does Rippling have pricing for accountants and brokers?

Yes. Rippling says it offers partner pricing to brokers and accountants who use Rippling for their clients, and asks them to schedule a call.1 It publishes no partner rate.
