CoreWeave competitors: B200 list prices, September 2026

Modal's lowest listed B200 GPU-task base figure converts to $6.25 per GPU-hour. This is not a matched capacity price: separate resources, execution premiums, instance size, currency and tax terms matter. Nebius lists higher rates effective 1 October 2026.

Modal’s printed B200 GPU-task base rate converts to $6.25 per GPU-hour after rounding, the lowest base figure in the six rows checked.1 The comparison uses official vendor pages captured 28 September 2026, not matched instance offers.1 Lambda, RunPod, Nebius and Together AI also list B200 figures below CoreWeave’s normalized $8.60 baseline.2,3,4,5,6

TL;DR

  • Lambda’s lowest B200 rate applies to an eight-GPU instance; its single-GPU rate is higher.2
  • Modal lists CPU and memory charges separately, and charges a premium for non-preemptible execution.1 Compare the required configuration before treating its base GPU rate as the full cost.
  • Crusoe’s B200 GPU instances require a quote.7 DigitalOcean’s checked GPU Droplet list has no B200 entry.8
  • Nebius lists higher B200 and H100 rates effective 1 October 2026.4 The ranking below preserves the September checked prices.

How this ranking was built

Glamdring Research orders the checked providers by their lowest listed base B200 price per GPU-hour, using official pricing pages captured on 28 September 2026.1,2,3,4,5,6 Named spot and reserved rates are excluded. Modal’s row is a serverless GPU resource rate, while other rows price instances or clusters; these are not equivalent traditional on-demand capacity offers.

The original computed table uses a USD, before-tax convention. We retain the quoted dollar numbers without currency conversion or added tax. Nebius explicitly accepts USD and excludes applicable taxes; Lambda states that sales tax, VAT or GST is additional.4,2 Currency and tax treatment are assumptions where the checked vendor page does not establish them. Confirm those terms before treating the figures as invoice costs.

The nine-provider check leaves eight fixed-list providers after removing Vast.ai’s marketplace reference. Crusoe’s quote-only B200 GPU instances and DigitalOcean’s missing B200 listing leave six ranked rows, including CoreWeave as the baseline.7,8,9 Each provider contributes one qualifying rate; spot and reserved prices are excluded. The research methodology explains Glamdring’s source standard.

Nebius’s captured page lists US$8.50 for B200 and US$4.50 for H100 from 1 October 2026.4 Modal’s entry is its base GPU resource rate; region selection and non-preemptible execution carry premiums.1 The H100 column provides context and does not determine rank.

Which pricing differences change the comparison?

Modal’s base resource rate, Lambda’s instance size and CoreWeave’s node billing change what each B200 price buys.1,2,6 Compare the deployment you need before choosing by the GPU-hour column.

Modal lists B200 at US$0.001736 per second, converted to US$6.25 per GPU-hour after rounding.1 CPU and memory appear as separate resource charges.1 Its pricing page lists non-preemptible execution at three times base prices and region selection at 1.15-1.75 times base prices.1 Ask which execution policy and region your workload requires before comparing Modal’s base rate with an instance quote.

Lambda’s US$6.69 B200 rate belongs to its eight-GPU instance.2 CoreWeave lists an eight-GPU HGX B200 node at US$68.80 per hour, giving the normalized US$8.60 figure.6 A per-GPU unit makes the prices readable together; it does not remove the instance-size condition.

RunPod lists its B200 Pods rate at US$6.79 per hour, while B200 Clusters require contact with sales.3 Use the RunPod pricing comparison when deciding between those deployment types. Together AI’s B200 GPU Clusters entry lists US$8.19 on demand and US$6.79 in its reserved schedule.5 Only the on-demand figure enters this ranking.

Which CoreWeave alternatives require a B200 quote?

Crusoe requires a quote for B200 GPU instances, and RunPod does for B200 Clusters.7,3 Quote-only status belongs to the deployment type, not every product the company sells.

Crusoe’s GPU-instance table says “Contact sales” for B200, while H100 is listed at US$3.90 per GPU-hour.7 A separate Self-Serve Deployments section lists a B200 dedicated-endpoint price.7 That endpoint price does not supply the missing GPU-instance rate.

DigitalOcean is a different omission: its checked GPU Droplet price list has H100 at US$4.41 per GPU-hour but no B200 entry.8 A missing entry does not establish a quote-only B200 offer.

Vast.ai sits outside the fixed-list ranking. Its B200 marketplace reference is a median listing price of US$10.63 per hour on the checked date.9 Vast.ai says prices are market-set and available offers update hourly.9 Compare an individual offer’s terms separately from a provider’s fixed list rate.

How do the H100 prices compare?

RunPod has the lowest listed H100 rate among the fixed-list providers checked, at US$2.89 per GPU-hour for H100 PCIe.3 The H100 column uses each provider’s lowest listed variant, so it mixes PCIe with SXM/HGX configurations.2,3,4,5,6,1

For a narrower SXM comparison, RunPod lists H100 SXM at US$3.49 per GPU-hour and Lambda lists H100 SXM in an eight-GPU instance at US$3.99.3,2 Modal’s H100 SXM5 rate converts to US$3.95 per GPU-hour.1 Match the variant and instance size before using those entries in a purchasing comparison.

CoreWeave’s HGX H100 node lists US$49.24 per hour for eight GPUs, normalized to US$6.16 per GPU-hour.6 The H100 rental-price comparison is the next comparison to consult if H100 is the required hardware.

What changes after the September price check?

Nebius lists higher B200 and H100 rates effective 1 October 2026.4 Its captured pricing page shows both the September rate and the scheduled replacement.4

For B200, the listed rate changes from US$7.15 to US$8.50 per GPU-hour; H100 changes from US$3.85 to US$4.50.4 The scheduled B200 rate exceeds Together AI’s checked US$8.19 while remaining below CoreWeave’s checked US$8.60.4,5,6 A current buying decision needs the effective-date column and a fresh check of the other providers, too.

What the ranking cannot tell you

A listed B200 GPU-hour price alone cannot establish the lowest cost for a completed workload. Modal’s separate resource charges, Lambda’s instance-size pricing and CoreWeave’s whole-node billing set different purchase conditions.1,2,6

The comparison establishes the order of checked GPU list rates. It does not measure training speed, inference throughput, reliability or immediate availability. Match the hardware and deployment type, confirm the current price, then test the same workload before treating a lower hourly rate as a lower job cost.

Frequently asked questions

Can I rent one B200 at Lambda’s lowest listed rate?

Lambda’s listed single-GPU B200 SXM6 rate is US$6.99 per GPU-hour before applicable taxes.2 The lower US$6.69 entry applies to its eight-GPU instance, so use the single-GPU rate when comparing a one-GPU rental.2

Does CoreWeave’s per-GPU price mean single-GPU access?

CoreWeave’s normalized B200 price of US$8.60 per GPU-hour comes from its US$68.80 eight-GPU node.6 Its pricing page also shows a per-GPU inference price, but the footnote limits GPU-based pricing to CoreWeave inference-platform customers.6 Confirm eligibility before treating that column as a general single-GPU rental option.
