HiBob reviews: pricing, modules and evidence

Keep HiBob on the shortlist when its published Core HR scope matches your needs, subject to a scoped quote and demonstrated workflows. Dated favourable ratings do not establish contract value or module-level fit.

HiBob’s published offer is Core HR with optional modules and custom pricing, generally calculated per employee, according to its pricing FAQ checked on 1 October 2026.1 A buying decision still needs a written quote and proof that the selected modules handle your workflows.

Scope: published product pages and dated rating aggregates; no first-hand use.

TL;DR

  • HiBob lists employee records, time off, workflows, reporting and Bob AI Companion within Core.1 Confirm the additional capabilities you need against the quote.
  • HiBob’s module menu distinguishes Payroll Hub from UK Payroll and US Payroll.1 Treat payroll synchronisation and country-specific payroll as separate buying questions.
  • G2’s 2,636 reviews and Trustpilot’s 154 reviews, checked on 28 September 2026, belong to separate published aggregates.2,3 Trustpilot also warns that its reviews may not be representative.3 Use ratings to inform the shortlist, then test the work you need done.

What do the dated HiBob reviews show?

HiBob’s G2 and Trustpilot aggregates were favourable on 28 September 2026, but their displayed ratings and review counts should remain separate.2,3 Neither aggregate establishes how a particular payroll configuration or module will perform for your company.2,3

Review sourceDisplayed ratingDisplayed review countChecked date
G2, HiBob HRIS4.5/52,63628 September 20262
Trustpilot, HiBob4.1 TrustScore15428 September 20263

G2 provides the larger displayed review count, but neither aggregate gives a module-by-module review count.2,3 Ask for references using the modules and payroll arrangement you’re considering.

Trustpilot’s qualification belongs beside its rating: the company hadn’t invited customers recently, so reviews may not be representative.3 Trustpilot also says it doesn’t fact-check reviewers’ specific claims; a “Verified” label may confirm a business interaction.3 The label therefore isn’t a technical validation of everything a reviewer says.3

Keep the source, date and review count attached to each rating. Averaging these figures would obscure which record supports the conclusion. Our research methodology explains the evidence standard behind that approach.

What plans and pricing does HiBob publish?

HiBob describes tailored plans that include Core HR, with pricing generally calculated per employee and shaped by company size, needs and selected modules.1 Its cost FAQ checked on 1 October 2026 directs buyers to a tailored quote rather than giving a numeric rate.1

The published plans answer describes flexible plans for different company sizes and use cases; it doesn’t provide a named tier table with fixed prices.1 The pricing unit is clearer than the amount: employee count and module scope are the stated inputs, while the quote defines what’s included.1

Ask for a quote that separates the Core subscription from each selected module. Require the billing period, currency, tax treatment and any implementation or migration charges. Record the employee definition used for billing and how headcount changes affect the invoice.

For a parallel quote exercise, use our BambooHR pricing research and Rippling pricing research. Compare the same required scope and contract period before judging cost.

What is included in Bob Core HR?

Bob’s Core HR inclusion list, checked on 1 October 2026, names the employee database, document management, time off, lifecycle workflows, integrations, analytics and reporting, Mobile App and Bob AI Companion.1 HiBob’s FAQ says every plan includes access to Core HR, with optional modules and integrations defined in the quote.1

Time off is explicitly on the Core list.1 Clocking, timesheets and work cycles appear under the separately listed Time & Attendance module.1 If you need both leave administration and worked-hours records, ask the quote to identify both capabilities.

The integration wording also needs care. HiBob lists integrations within Core but says modules and integrations can be added according to need.1 Confirm the specific connection, supported data and entitlement in writing; the broad inclusion label doesn’t establish every connector’s commercial terms.1

Bob AI Companion appears within Core.1 Require a demonstration of the AI tasks you intend to use and ask about any usage allowances. The inclusion list alone doesn’t establish unlimited access to every AI capability.1

Which HiBob modules are listed separately?

HiBob’s public module menu checked on 1 October 2026 extends beyond Core into talent, hiring, planning, compensation, learning and payroll.1 Each entry establishes what HiBob markets; the quote still needs to identify which modules you’re buying.1

Keep Compensation and Compensation Benchmarking distinct: the menu describes one through events and bands, the other through benchmark data.1 Ask for both by name if both are required. A demonstration menu is a starting point for scope, not confirmation that every entry is bundled into Core.1

Does HiBob’s Payroll Hub mean payroll is covered everywhere?

HiBob describes Payroll Hub as payroll sync and integration management, while UK Payroll and US Payroll are separate menu entries for managing payroll in those countries.1 Those descriptions establish different scopes, not worldwide payroll coverage.1

For each employing entity, ask who calculates payroll, who submits the required filings and which system holds the final records. Have HiBob demonstrate how a change in an employee’s pay or hours reaches that payroll process. Record every manual export and reconciliation step.

The menu supports asking about UK and US payroll modules.1 It doesn’t establish that those modules are included in a Core quote or that equivalent payroll processing exists for every other jurisdiction.1 Confirm country coverage and the selected payroll arrangement explicitly.

Which HiBob limits remain unconfirmed?

HiBob’s public pricing FAQ leaves the commercial scope to a tailored quote and provides no numeric usage caps or detailed contract guarantees.1 The Core and module lists establish advertised functions, not the depth of each configuration.1

Request written answers on document-storage allowances, API limits, AI usage, support response commitments and data export at termination. Ask when modules can be removed and what happens to billing and stored records. A capability list cannot settle those terms.

Technical limits need a different test. Bring your hardest leave policy, approval rule or reporting condition into the demonstration. Ask the operator to complete it using the quoted configuration, then inspect the result. Avoid accepting a broad feature label as proof that a specific exception works.

Ratings don’t repair a missing contract term or failed workflow. Trustpilot’s own notice says reviewers’ specific claims aren’t fact-checked.3 Use the public record to choose what to investigate, then obtain evidence for the requirement that controls your decision.

When should HiBob stay on the shortlist?

Glamdring Research’s verdict is to keep HiBob on the shortlist when its published Core HR scope matches your needs, subject to a scoped quote and demonstrated workflows.1 The favourable dated ratings inform that decision, but don’t establish contract value or module-level fit.2,3

Use one employee-change-to-payroll demonstration as an acceptance test:

  1. Start with a representative employee record and a change in pay, hours or leave.
  2. Run the required approval through the proposed configuration.
  3. Follow the change into your chosen payroll arrangement.
  4. Inspect the resulting report, exceptions and audit evidence. Record manual exports and work outside Bob.

Run the test with the modules in the quote. If the workflow needs an additional module or external system, revise the scope before comparing offers. Keep HiBob on the shortlist only when the demonstrated result and written terms meet your requirements.

Frequently asked questions

Can HiBob modules be changed after purchase?

HiBob’s pricing FAQ checked on 1 October 2026 says you can add or adjust modules as your needs evolve.1 That answer doesn’t specify removal notice periods, refunds or cancellation rights.1 Require those details in the contract before relying on the flexibility.

Does HiBob pricing vary by region?

HiBob says pricing “may vary slightly by region” because of local requirements and support needs, according to its FAQ checked on 1 October 2026.1 Request the quote for your actual employing entities and support requirements; the FAQ supplies no numeric regional adjustment.1

Does HiBob have a minimum employee count?

HiBob’s pricing FAQ checked on 1 October 2026 doesn’t state a contractual minimum employee count.1 It describes the product as built for growing companies, including smaller teams preparing to scale and mid-sized organisations with more complex people operations.1 Ask sales to confirm eligibility and any minimum subscription charge for your headcount.
