Leapsome lists the lowest USD-confirmed entry estimate among the alternatives checked: USD 3/employee/month for Compensation plus promotional HRIS Foundation, on its USD-selected estimator captured 2 October 2026.1 Lattice follows at USD 4/seat/month for Engagement, checked 28 September 2026.2 Those entry prices buy different functions, not equivalent performance-review packages.1,2 Betterworks and 15Five also publish prices, but their captured pages do not confirm the dollar currency; Culture Amp requires a quote.3,4,5

TL;DR

  • Buy for the workflow you need. Leapsome’s lowest-price module covers compensation; Lattice’s covers engagement surveys.1,2 Performance reviews have separate prices.1,2
  • Keep Betterworks and 15Five on the shortlist. Their printed dollar amounts belong in a separate currency-unconfirmed comparison, outside the USD order.3,4
  • Check the invoice constraints: Lattice has a minimum annual agreement, and Betterworks charges separately for implementation.2,4

How this ranking was built

Glamdring Research ranks Culture Amp alternatives on one field: the lowest published USD entry subscription price per employee/seat per month on each vendor’s own pricing page.1,2 The unit is comparable; the functions purchased are not. Leapsome’s minimum configuration and Lattice’s entry module therefore remain named beside their prices.1,2

The performance-management category provides the wider research context. The comparison checks four alternatives: Leapsome, Lattice, Betterworks and 15Five, with Culture Amp as the baseline.1,2,3,4,5 Two alternatives qualify for the USD ranking; two retain their published prices outside it because currency is unconfirmed.1,2,3,4 Culture Amp has no published entry rate in its captured pricing page.5

The original vendor checks date from 28 September 2026.2,3,4,5,1 Only Leapsome’s selected USD estimates were refreshed on 2 October 2026.1 Each eligible vendor occupies one ranked row, using its lowest published subscription configuration. Standalone subscription plans qualify; add-ons and custom quotes stay outside the order.

Which published prices remain outside the USD ranking?

Betterworks and 15Five publish dollar prices, but neither captured pricing page confirms USD.3,4 Their plans remain in an unranked currency-unconfirmed table so a missing currency label does not erase a published rate.3,4

What does Leapsome’s lowest-price configuration include?

Leapsome’s chosen minimum is Compensation at USD 3/employee/month plus mandatory HRIS Foundation at USD 0 under the offer ending December 31.1 Time Tracking has the same selected USD rate, but covers working hours rather than compensation decisions.1 For Leapsome, offer applicability requires a current quote.1

Compensation includes compensation reviews, budget management, promotion reviews, pay-gap analytics, flexible approvers and salary/bonus bands.1 Time Tracking lists a widget, work schedules, timesheets, issue detection, policies and hours into payroll.1 Choose between them on those tasks; the price tie gives no reason to treat them as interchangeable.

HRIS Foundation includes employee profiles, absence and document management, payroll preparation, meetings, instant feedback, and core analytics and workflows.1 Custom attributes, e-signatures, workflows and reporting have limits in Foundation.1 Leapsome says the HR platform is required even when purchasing one module.1

The USD-selected capture used the estimator’s default employee setting of 200 and selected one module at a time.1 The other selected module estimates were Performance Reviews at USD 7, Goals & OKRs, Engagement Surveys and Learning at USD 4 each, and Recruiting at USD 5 per employee/month, alongside promotional Foundation at USD 0.1 These are module estimates, not the price of buying them all together.1

The estimator states: “Estimate only. Multi-module and volume discounts are not reflected here.”1 Its FAQ says HRIS is included free when purchased by December 31 and is charged at the listed price after that date.1 Confirm eligibility, the Foundation charge after the promotion and the renewal basis before signing.

Which alternatives include performance reviews?

Leapsome, Lattice, Betterworks and 15Five all list performance-review functions, but the lowest entry rate does not always include them.1,2,4,3 Leapsome separates Performance Reviews from Compensation, while Lattice separates Performance from Engagement.1,2

Leapsome’s USD 7 Performance Reviews module lists review automations, cross-cycle analytics, flexible templates and visibility, calibration and external reviewers.1 If reviews are the required workflow, use that module in the quote comparison rather than its USD 3 Compensation minimum.1

Lattice’s Performance card lists USD 10/seat/month for reviews, succession planning, promotions, PIPs, talent reviews and calibration, plus manager tools.2 However, the same page’s FAQ says Performance and Goals & OKRs can be purchased individually for $8/month.2 Resolve that price discrepancy in the quote. The Lattice pricing analysis is the next reading for a Lattice-specific budget.

Betterworks’ printed $8 Performance package already lists review conversations alongside goals, feedback and 1:1s.4 Its printed $9 package adds calibration and talent-development functions.4 Currency remains unconfirmed for both.4

15Five’s printed $4 Engage plan covers engagement; its printed $11 Perform plan contains performance reviews and goals.3 Total Platform combines them at a printed $16, billed annually, without confirmed currency in the capture.3 Request Perform or Total Platform when reviews are essential, rather than treating Engage as a complete replacement.

Which vendors and plans require a quote?

Culture Amp remains quote-only in the 28 September 2026 pricing capture.5 Lattice Enterprise and Betterworks Enterprise also use custom pricing, although both vendors publish rates for other products.2,4

Culture Amp separates Engage and Perform.5 Engage lists survey tools, benchmarking, pulse surveys and retention insights; Perform lists reviews and calibration, continuous feedback, 1-on-1s, development plans and goals.5 Every plan lists AI Coach, HRIS integrations, SSO and encryption, plus Slack and Microsoft Teams integrations.5 Culture Amp says price depends on employee count, product and service tier, with annual billing.5

For enterprise requirements, Lattice says its custom pricing varies by seats, complexity and scale.2 Betterworks Enterprise adds programme design, Engage, change-management services and Signature Support to Performance + Talent Intelligence.4 A quote is needed to price those scopes.

Leapsome publishes selected module estimates alongside a final quote process.1 Its exact discounts depend on module selection and employee count.1

What the ranking cannot tell you

The USD entry-price order cannot establish the cheapest equivalent replacement for Culture Amp: Leapsome’s ranked configuration covers compensation, Lattice’s covers engagement, and Culture Amp’s required scope is quote-priced.1,2,5

Treat the table as a starting point for matching requirements. Ask each vendor to quote the same review, goal and survey workflows, then confirm which employees incur charges, the commitment period, applicable taxes, implementation and renewal terms. For a narrower shortlist, continue with the Lattice and Culture Amp comparison.

There is no FX conversion, score or tested-quality claim. The order covers the named alternatives with eligible published rates; it does not establish a market-wide winner. Subscribe to Glamdring Research for new research.

Frequently asked questions

Can a small team budget for Lattice by multiplying seats by the entry price?

Only if the resulting agreement meets Lattice’s minimum annual spend.2 The 28 September 2026 pricing page specifies a USD 4,000 minimum annual agreement that can include different products.2 Ask for the total annual commitment before treating the USD 4/seat/month Engagement rate as the invoice.2

Does a monthly rate mean monthly billing?

No. Culture Amp and Lattice say their contracts are billed annually; 15Five labels its published plans as billed annually.5,2,3 Leapsome’s estimator states a per-employee monthly unit, which does not by itself confirm monthly payment terms.1 Confirm the payment schedule in the current quote.

Is Betterworks implementation included in its subscription?

No. Betterworks says implementation is a one-time cost in addition to its per-user monthly subscription price.4 The capture does not provide an implementation amount, so request it as a separate quote item.4
